Opportunity exists for a seasoned, high caliber, professional to join the Company with job Assignment in Sengata - East Kalimantan for the positions of:
Manager - Business and Performance Improvement
(Code: M-BPI)
(Kalimantan Timur - Sangatta)
Requirements:
* Posses a tertiary qualification in Mining, Mechanical, Geology/Civil Engineering from a reputable University
* Hold Pengawas Operational Madya Certificate is preferable. Candidate with Business Improvement Experience using Six Sigma Methodology will be preferred
* Possess extensive experience and proven skills in the mining industry at least 10 years, preferably in open cut mining coal mining encompassing a broad range of practical production, maintenance, improvement, technical and people management issues
* Possess Strong analytical, Problem Solving, Leadership, Negotiation and Influencing and presentation skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with Managers in the oragnization to understand the problems on their areas to identify improvement opportunities and to define, select and monitor business improvement projects.
* Direct and facilities the KPC's business and performance improvement projects to ensure the team meets the goals
* Ensure that appropriate management information system are in place in KPC so that process output are measures, improvement opportunities identified, and the effectiveness of any improvement are quantified
* Develop business and performance improvement strategic plan in line with the GM Business and Performance Improvement annual context statement
* Develop with General Manager the key process and improvement initiatives and the associated key performance measures required to achieve the KPC business improvement plan
* Monitor improvement projects progress to assess the savings and gains, monitor control charts, investigate and rectify any variances required
* Develop action plan with Business Improvement Champions and Project Leaders to ensure the sustainability for every improvement projects
* Develop the effective communication strategy for KPC business improvement process to ensure people awareness of the program and to report the project results
* Promote and reinforce compliance with KPC's Environmental Management Policy
* Maintain up to date knowledge of mining industry improvement initiatives and technological innovations

To develop and implement procedures and programs to effectively manage site hazards, provide Health Safety & Quality assistance to WA sites (nominated by HSQ Manager) site managers, employees and contractors that improves safety and quality performance overall and strengthens the culture surrounding safety performance.
Role Competencies:
* Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills
* Well developed presentation and communication skills
* Understanding of statutory requirements applicable to DN’s field operations
* Drivers License
* Must be prepared to travel to and work from remote site locations - minimum requirement of 2 weeks per month. Proven time management skills
* Must be able to accept responsibility and work independent of direct supervision to meet objectives
* Lateral thinking skills
* Problem solving skills
Technical Competencies:
* HSEQ or Engineering degree or 3 to 5 years experience in OHS & Q systems coordination
* Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring loss control activities at an operational level
* High degree of computer literacy in particular the application and use of the Microsoft Office suite and Lotus Notes

Site Coordinator
Reports To (Position): Regional Manager & Operation Manager
Location: Kalimantan Timur
Key Relationships:
Site Coordinator will work closely with the PT dnx Indonesia - Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific project management team, dnx Indonesia Operations Manager, the project joint venture partner/customer, and owner of the site facility infrastructure where our operations will be located
Role Competencies:
* Ensure all project planning, engineering, construction and commissioning activities achieve the required performance in HS&E, compliance with project management policies.
* Effective development of a solid professional working relationship with all related Joint Venture, customer and support contractors personnel.
* Provide input to the operational team, and manage as required to ensure operability of proposed facilities and operational plans.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the regulatory standards and permitting process.
* Perform other related duties as required including hands-on operation of plant and bulk equipment.
* Install sustainable maintenance program with definition of minimum safety stocks of critical spare parts for plants and operations, organized purchasing of spare parts from local and overseas vendors, setup of SAP purchasing systems, and management of outsourced and in-house mechanical services etc.
Technical Competencies:
* Education: Appropriate Bachelor’s degree in Mining
* Experience: with a minimum of 3 years experience; equivalent education and /or experience will certainly be considered.
* Technical:
- Possess organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, team-based environment.
- Experience in bulk truck operation
- Experience in organizational development, contract management
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a diverse team to deliver on budget, schedule and quality targets.
- Understanding of Lean business principles.
- Computer skills in AutoCAD, scheduling software, flow diagrams, and spreadsheets. Ability to manage SAP would be well regarded.
